Natural Advice for Migraines

Migraines can be associated with nausea and even vomiting. Usually you will want to be secluded and in a dark room.

Specific allergies are usually found in migraine
sufferers, and therefore foods such as cheese, wine, other alcoholic beverages and citrus fruits should be avoided. Eggs are also an aggravating factor, avoidance is advisable.  Also to a lesser extent bananas, avocados and other fruits can aggravate this condition. Chocolate is also a common offender. An allergy test would be advisable to detect the foods causing this aggravation, but also be aware that food intolerances are not the only factors to be considered.

Other factors for consideration in conjunction with allergies; one of which would be liver congestion (which is important to note in relation to the nausea). Others should be diagnosed by a naturopath or alternative medical specialist who would be able to analyse and comment better when you consult them.  For nausea - Lemon juice (squeezed from a pure lemon) – can be diluted slightly with hot water, however the stronger the lemon taste and the lesser the dilution the better.

There are herbs and vitamins that can also aid you and can be used in conjunction with a healthy diet. Please consult an alternative health professional for more information.
